Marr Tower: building permission is received!

The proper building process requires a huge list of documents and bureaucracy. There is a certain path through numbers of institutions to receive permissions for construction, extending or even repairing the building. Before the commencement of any premises’ development, first, it is necessary to obtain a planning permission. After the obtainment of a town planning permit, one needs to obtain a building permit by the appropriate local authority.

Today, we are proud to announce that we received a building permission, which gives us a green light for further development. Most of the development companies ‘stuck’ on this moment, not able to continue, however, Marr Tower project has passed.

Some statistical information, which emphasize overall Cyprus housing & building development:
According to The Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus the number of building permits authorized by the municipal authorities and the district administration offices during May 2018 stood at 612 (this number includes different kind of buildings as for example, high-rise towers, apartments block and 1-2 floor houses etc.). The total value of these permits reached €138,1 million and the total area 142,0 thousand square meters. These building permits provide for the construction of 541 dwelling units.

During the period January – May 2018, 2596 building permits were issued compared to 2368 in the corresponding period of the previous year. The total value of these permits increased by 27,4% and the total area by 25,6%. Τhe number of dwelling units recorded an increase of 23,5%. These building permits constitute a leading indicator of future activity in the construction sector.
